Careful attention was paid to create a rhythm of color movement and balance to achieve a lighter and brighter kitchen, but keeping elements that played to Colorado Rustic of the remainder of the home. The Island is a soft smokey blue, which is custom blended color. The backsplash is smooth clear glass on the surface, however the back of the tile has the texture/grain of wood and blues, browns, creams throughout. It adds both sparkle and visual texture, however keeping the ease of cleaning.
